Definitions
3GPP system: A telecommunication system conforming to 3GPP specifications, consisting of one or more 3GPP core networks, one or more 3GPP access networks (providing GSM/EDGE, UTRA, E-UTRA, or NR radio access), and/or non-3GPP access networks (such as WLAN), and User Equipment.
Access
Stratum: functional grouping consisting of the
parts in the infrastructure and in the user equipment and the protocols between
these parts being specific to the access technique (i.e. the way the specific
physical media between the User Equipment and the Infrastructure is used to
carry information).
